Miss Daisy's Dog Camp

About

Serving the NW Houston area since 1995, Miss Daisy's offers private training both at our facility, in your home and over the phone. Day training and board and trains are also available. In these programs, we train the initial behavior at camp and the owners practice them at home. Every pet and every pet owner is different in what is considered important for training, so programs are much more successful if we tailor them specifically to your needs. The Romper Room Puppy class helps with all the puppy crazy stuff as well as teaches important life skills. This 6 week program includes an initial, 90-minute in-home session to customize the program to your specific needs. Obedience skills such as sit, down, stay, come, polite leash walking and leave it are introduced. Life skills like relax on cue, confinement training, potty training, desensitization to common noises and handling procedures, safe car travel, basic grooming, prevention of separation anxiety and beginning proper socialization are also taught. Adult dogs are also welcome in our training program. We are able to help fearful or shy dogs, exuberant dogs, rescue dogs and more. Do you need help with basic manners, reactivity, tricks or exercise? Are you thinking of adding another dog to your family? Do you need assistance getting your dogs and kids to live together peacefully? We can help. We even offer a canine concierge service where we can help you select the best canine companion for your family and lifestyle.

Client for dog training

I scheduled an appointment for my foster dog who jumps on everyone. Debbie came to my home and talked with me about the issue and then gave me her ideas on the best approach. She explained the reasoning behind the approach. She was very open to me saying whether I thought the suggested method would work for me or not. She then worked with my dog in a variety of scenarios. I felt she spent adequate time with us and never made me feel like she was in a hurry. She encouraged feedback over the next few days on how things were going. Her approach is extremely positive for the dog! I would highly recommend her as a trainer.

The Best!!

I didn't have my new pup long before I realized I was in WAY over my head. There is so much conflicting information available about dog training. I got lucky and contacted Miss Daisy's. They know what to focus on and how to avoid future problems...things I would never have thought about. And the ongoing support on Facebook is fantastic. Any question or problem you have is addressed almost immediately long after graduation from puppy class.

Excellent!

Miss Daisy's Dog Camp was recommended to us by a friend who had experience with Debbie's training and boarding for many years. Patience , consistency, and socialization is stressed. We are the proud owners of a sweet natured, well behaved, happy 2year old thanks to her and her team's training of us! Wilbur also spends frequent Friday's at the Day Camp and thus, knows a lot of the other doggies. We are so comfortable when we board him, knowing he feels "at home," and knowing he is safe and happy!
